Friul Filiere Introduces A New Extrusion Line That Meets Industry 4.0 Standards

Friul Filiere Spa, an Italian manufacturer of plastic extrusion dies, will present the new extrusion line Futura40 at Fakuma 2018.

One of the highlights of the new product line is that it is fully compliant with Industry 4.0 requirements. It is equipped with PLC and Friul Filiere software to centrally control the entire process on the extruder.

The software also offers the possibility to integrate remote assistance services due to the Ethernet installed on the machine. This means that remote assistance services can be provided in real time from anywhere.

Thanks to its attractive and ergonomic design, the Futura40’s energy consumption is optimized thanks to a new generation of pumps that are regulated by the inverter – this allows the motor to absorb the minimum energy required for each production phase.

The extrusion shafts are arranged such that the holding tables are symmetrically separated along their longitudinal axis, while the table is designed to accommodate any type of sizing mold by a snap-on coupling.

In order to be able to meet the strict requirements involved, a brushless motor is used which is more precise and responsive in terms of motion control and the carriage slides horizontally.

In addition, new arrangements for electrical and electronic components of the entire system have been updated to CE standards to achieve higher safety standards.
